We are excited to put the call out for the future President of the CIF-IFC!
This is an incredible opportunity for someone passionate about forestry
and looking for a challenge with a national scope!
The position of 2nd Vice-President is an important role in the future evolution and growth of the CIF-IFC. Through this exciting leadership opportunity, the successful candidate will experience learning, development, and a high level of profile within the Institute and the forest sector. As an officer of the Executive Committee, this position provides the opportunity to shape the future of the oldest forest society in Canada.
The successful candidate for the 2nd Vice-President will join the CIF-IFC Executive in the fall of 2025, then transition the positions of Vice-President (2026-2027), President (2027-2028), and Past President (2028-2029). Although a substantial commitment, we recognize that candidates
will have other career responsibilities, therefore the role will be as flexible as possible.
The majority of Executive/Board meetings are virtual; however, travel for in-person meetings will be provided. This includes our Annual Conferences and AGMs.
The CIF-IFC values diversity and inclusion, striving for a leadership team that is representative of all Canadians. The ideal candidate would be a member of the CIF-IFC and have:
