Safer Substance Use in the Summer  

Planning ahead and following the low-risk guidelines for cannabis and alcohol are just a couple of ways to reduce harm and be safer during this summer’s patio and party season. Visit the Current Students website for tips on how to reduce harm and stay safe this summer. 

The Mental Health and Wellness website also contains useful information on Carleton-specific and public resources for people who use substances, are questioning their substance use and have a substance use disorder. 

 

Important Dates

Friday, May 31, 2024: Last day to withdraw from full summer courses with a full fee adjustment (financial withdrawal). 

Saturday, June 1, 2024: Last day for academic withdrawal from early summer courses.

Saturday, June 1, 2024: Last day to request Formal Examination Accommodation for June examinations to the Paul Menton Centre for Students with Disabilities.

Student Registration Assistance Team 

Need help planning your course registration? The Student Registration Assistance (SRA) team is available from Wednesday, May 22 to Tuesday, September 17, 2024. The SRA team can help you build a conflict free timetable, navigate Carleton Central and provide general registration assistance. You can visit the SRA team at the Registrar’s Office, contact the team via phone at 613-520-3500 or email registrar@carleton.ca.

 

Deferred Winter Term Examinations 

Full winter, late winter and fall/winter deferred final examinations are ongoing until Wednesday, May 29, 2024. We wish you the best of luck on your exams! For academic support resources, links to exam day information and access to wellness services, visit the Current Students website. 

Fall/Winter 2024-2025 Class Schedule 

It’s almost time to register for the 2024-2025 academic year! The fall/winter 2024-2025 class schedule and registration course planning tool will be available in Carleton Central (accessed by logging into Carleton360) on Monday, May 27, 2024. Registration begins on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 for returning students. Your exact time-ticket will be available on Carleton Central approximately one week preceding the registration time period. Registration will remain open until the posted deadlines.

Fall Orientation - Partner Engagement Program 

Are you involved with a certified student group at Carleton? The Student Experience Office (SEO) wants you to get involved with Fall Orientation. If you’re involved in student service centres, faculties, clubs, or any other recognized student groups, visit the Fall Orientation website to get involved in programming for incoming Ravens.

Anne Bowker Appointed Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences 

Dr. Anne Bowker will be the new Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) effective Monday, July 1, 2024. Dr. Bowker has served as the Interim Dean of FASS since August 2023, spearheading strategic planning for the faculty including research initiatives, the enhancement of interdisciplinary programs and the fostering of community engagement.
