Dear ,

The time to endorse our candidates for municipal office this November is upon us!  I hope that you all are continuing to enjoy a wonderful summer.

I want to thank all of those who attended our fundraising BBQ at the Pond House Café back on June 28th.  It was one of the most successful BBQ events we've ever held.  I want to personally thank Sally Calcaterra, Paula Mercier, John Demitrus and Dennis Swanton who worked tirelessly to make it all come together.

Please join us for our West Hartford Republican Town Committee meeting this Monday, July 17, at 7:00pm.  As part of our agenda, we will be discussing our upcoming Special Meeting of the West Hartford RTC to officially endorse a slate of candidates to run for municipal office.  This meeting will take place on Tuesday, July 18, and it is exclusively for West Hartford RTC members only.

Endorsing Republican candidates this month to run for the November election holds significant importance for several reasons. First and foremost, Republicans promote a set of core values that align with individual liberty, limited government intervention, and free-market principles. By endorsing our Republican candidates, we are endorsing policies that aim to foster economic growth, reduce government regulations, and preserve personal freedoms. These principles are essential for maintaining a thriving economy and ensuring that West Hartford residents have the freedom to pursue their own goals and aspirations.

Secondly, endorsing our Republican candidates helps to maintain a balanced and effective system of checks and balances in our government. It is crucial to have a diversity of political parties to foster healthy debates and ensure that decisions are made with careful consideration. By endorsing our Republicans, we are supporting a strong conservative voice that can offer alternative viewpoints and challenge policies that may be detrimental to our Town's long-term interests. This helps to prevent one party from having unchecked power and encourages compromise and collaboration across party lines.

Lastly, endorsing our Republican candidates this month is crucial for preserving traditional American values and upholding the Constitution. Republicans generally advocate for policies that support individual rights, protect our property, and prioritize security and safety for our town. Our candidates emphasize the importance of law and order, ensuring that our communities remain safe and secure. By endorsing our Republican candidates, we are endorsing leaders who prioritize the protection of American values, the rule of law, and the well-being of our town as a whole.

It is important to note that when we endorse our political candidates, it is a personal choice, and we carefully research and evaluate the policies and positions of each individual candidate before making a decision. Ultimately, our endorsement aligns with our own values and beliefs, and to engage in this informed and thoughtful approach is critical to the electoral process.

Our meeting will discuss a couple more of our upcoming fundraisers and strategizing our campaigns as well so, you don't want to miss it.

Attached is the agenda for this Monday's meeting along with the minutes from our RTC meeting back on June 19. For those who are our Republican representatives of Town Boards and Commissions, we ask that you please make every effort to attend our meeting on Monday.  Please click on the button to RSVP to our RTC Secretary so we may have a head count of who will be attending.

If you have any questions or if you need additional information, please feel free to email me at chair@whgop.com or call our WeHa RTC office at 860-840-7430.

Sincerely,

Shawn Daly
