Calvary Noosa

Date: 31 January 2022

Dear Resident and Family Members,

I am writing to inform you that all residents in our Roberts. Leigh, James, Wales, Coles and Stevens units who have been tested in the latest round have returned negative results. Hester and Andrews units are presently deemed low-risk environments and therefore testing in these units was not required.

The total number in the current outbreak remains at twenty (20) including five (5) residents and fifteen (15) staff.

In line with Public Health Unit advice our testing regime continues across all residents over the coming days, and we will update you with any information, including results, as soon as they are available.  We anticipate our next email update to you will be over the next few days, unless there are changes that need to be communicated before then.

Visitation and residents movement about the home

  • Roberts unit- Residents may move freely within their unit and visitation continues at this time.
  • Leigh unit- All memory support residents may move freely within their unit.
  • James unit - All residents in isolation and will be cared for in their rooms. James unit remains closed to visitation.
  • Wales unit- All residents in isolation and will be cared for in their rooms. Wales unit remains closed to visitation.
  • Coles/Stevens units- Residents may move freely within their unit and visitation continues at this time.
  • Hester/Andrews- Residents may move freely within their unit and visitation continues at this time.

We understand that it is very difficult for residents to be cared for in their rooms and not have visitors. Please be assured that our team will continue to ensure the holistic care needs of all residents are met and calls and video conferencing is available for loved ones to remain in contact.

Visitation exceptions may be made for residents receiving end of life care, or who may be experiencing distress, or where a special care and support role is provided. Please speak with the Manager of your Home to discuss arrangements.

Thank you for working with us so generously to ensure the safety of all residents in our care.

Sincerely,
