Welcome to another issue of the TREC Pānui, a newsletter from the Transport Rebuild East Coast (TREC) Alliance.
It provides an update for communities in Te Tairāwhiti (Gisborne) and Te Matau-a-Māui (Hawke's Bay) on Cyclone Gabrielle recovery work being delivered across the state highway and rail networks.
In this issue we share updates on our progress including slip repairs, flood protection, and bridge works. We highlight some of the smart tech helping speed up repairs, and profile local contractor Instant Green. Plus, a feature on the special pōhiri marking the next phase of work at Mangahauini Gorge on State Highway 35 (SH35).
