Capital Hoops Champions (Again!)

Carleton Ravens are once again Capital Hoops basketball champions! Congratulations to the women's team for taking home their fifth straight prize on Friday against our crosstown rivals at uOttawa. Despite a tough loss for the men's team, we're proud of their strong game and sportsmanship. With one week in the season, the Ravens are now preparing for the playoffs!

Mon. Feb. 16, 2026: Family Day holiday. University closed.

Mon. Feb. 16 to Fri. Feb. 20, 2026: Winter break. No classes.

 

Winter Break is Almost Here

The winter break is a great time to rest, rejuvenate and regroup for the remainder of the term. With midterms coming up, it’s important to prioritize both your coursework and your wellness. Carleton has many resources to help you stay on track, from academic support and employability to wellness.

During the winter break, the university is closed on Mon. Feb. 16, 2026 for the Family Day holiday. While classes are paused from Tue. Feb. 17 to Fri. Feb. 20, 2026, campus remains open.

 

Call for Nominations – Student Senators

Nominations are being accepted for undergraduate students to serve on Senate for a one-year term, beginning Wed. July 1, 2026 and ending Wed. June 30, 2027. Eligible students must have previous academic governance experience at the faculty or departmental level at Carleton, and must have successfully completed at least 4.0 credits prior to service.

Group Mentorship with First Year Connections

Join the First Year Connections Mentorship Team for their final group mentorship session this Fri. Feb. 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in 4050 Nicol Building! Connect with fellow Ravens while creating vision boards to reflect your goals, dreams and aspirations. All materials and light refreshments provided. Please register for this event in advance.

Want to live with other amazing people? Interested in a shorter commute? Consider living in residence! Applications for the 2026-2027 academic year are now open.

 

The Summer Session is Fast Approaching

While it's still cold outside, you may want to start thinking about summer session courses. The summer session is a great time to catch up or get ahead on your studies, and you can start planning now. The summer schedule is now available through Carleton Central (by logging into Carleton360) and registration instructions are up-to-date for the 2026 summer session.

Registration for the summer session begins Wed. March 19, 2026 for degree students and Sun. March 23, 2026 for non-degree students.

Update Carleton Mobile App to Version 1.9.0

An updated version of Carleton Mobile is now available to download. The new version has the student newsfeed added to the dashboard, general performance enhancements and bug fixes.
