Recently released customer insights reports investigate the experiences of customers involved in ARENA-funded DER projects. Nearly 100 reports from 20 projects were analysed to produce insights on customer values and motivations, and the customer journey of buying, installing, maintaining and retaining a DER product.

Consulting community members who are isolated or observing social distancing has posed a new challenge to a unique ARENA-funded trial at the Australian National University. Researchers involved in the Realising Electric Vehicles-to-grid Services (REVS) project (which aims to demonstrate how electric vehicles can support Australia’s energy grids) have adjusted how they will engage various groups.

Santos Conversion of Remote Crude Oil Beam Pumps to Solar & Battery:

• Project Report - outlines how the solar and battery system being installed at oil well pumps can be applied across other industries in wider applications.
• Lessons Learnt Report - this report details four lessons learnt Santos’ project investigating oil beam pump conversion to solar and battery, and other uses for proposed stand-alone power systems.

Analysis of Solar PV Hybrid Energy Irrigation Trial at Bundaberg Sugarcane Farm - This is the final project report presenting the outcomes of the three year field trial to demonstrate the economic benefits of using renewable energy (specifically solar) to power irrigated sugarcane production.
