Learning | Skill-BuildingCreating a virtual Palliative Care Unit Presenter: Dr Inban Reddy, MB, MCFP (PC) In this recorded presentation, Dr Inban Reddy shares factors for success and unique challenges inherent in a Shared Care project to create a virtual Palliative Care Unit in Northern BC. Dr Inban Reddy is a family and palliative care physician in Prince George, and current president of the section of Palliative Medicine for Doctors of BC. Polypharmacy learning sessionsDoes your patient need those medications? In this series of nine webinars using real case studies, providers enter into thought-provoking discussions around widely prescribed medications. Presented by providers experienced in polypharmacy risk reduction, each webinar explores different medications and issues, such as the dangers of long-term use of proton pump inhibitors; avoiding too many meds for diabetes or blood pressure; weighing risks versus benefits of statins; which medications are unsuitable for seniors, and many others. The webinars were recorded as part of a recent Shared Care South Peace Polypharmacy project in Northern BC.
