Collingwood Kinder is now open!
We've just opened a brand new kindergarten in Collingwood to help meet the needs of local families and make early learning access even easier for our community! Located on the grounds of Collingwood College, the state-of-the-art kindergarten features: - Space for up to 66 children
- Award-winning educators
- Up to 15 free hours for 3 and 4 year olds
- Onsite playgroup
Collingwood Kinder is
funded by the Victorian Department of Education and is a joint project between Yarra City Council and the Victorian School Building Authority, with the support of Collingwood College.
Look out for your new FOGO bin
We'll soon start delivering your new food and garden organic (FOGO) bins to prepare for our FOGO waste collection service, starting from 1 July 2024. If you currently receive a waste collection service from us, you'll receive your new bin between April and June. Please be sure to store your bin and not use it until collections begin in July. Once collection services begin in July, your food and organic waste will be turned into compost or fertilizer. This will reduce the volume of waste sent to landfill, cut emissions, and help protect our environment!
Escape Richmond's hustle and bustle at our newest pop-up park!
Have you seen our colourful new pop-up park on Charlotte Street outside Richmond Library? We've created this temporary pop-up park to review traffic conditions in the area before we begin work on a new permanent park in the new financial year.
This is just one of many new open space projects that have opened over the last few months, including upgrading Cambridge Street Reserve and the brand new Otter Street Pocket Park.
