Hello, kia ora

November 2017

The project reached a major milestone last month with the excavation of the underpass now completed.

This was a significant event for the earthworks team who moved a total of 18 thousand cubic metres of dirt, around 2125 truck loads, from both sides of the underpass, in the constrained space.

You can view the full milestone video here.

The internal walls of the underpass still need to be installed, the final road surface laid and landscaping completed.

The two bridges under the Maungatapu roundabout are complete and the Kaitemako Culvert now has water running through it. The pedestrian and cyclist overbridge is also finished and in use.

Completion is on-track for April 2018.

Any questions or comments, you can email us or get in touch through Facebook

Kind regards
The Maungatapu project team
