*DATE CHANGE*: PCPediatrics E-Board Elections!! Open to ALL U1s to P2s interested in a unique Pharmacy leadership position. PCPediatrics 2023-2024 E-Board Application is NOW open! PCP-SSHP Post-Match Residency Panel! Join PCP-SSHP on Tuesday, April 11th at 7pm on ZOOM! If you're interested in hearing from current P4s about their residency matching experience. P4 students from PCP, Temple University School of Pharmacy, and Jefferson College of Pharmacy will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding the match process. If you are interested in pursuing a residency after graduation or have no idea what a residency actually is, come to this session to gain some insight on what it entails! Clinical Diversity Speaker Panel RSVP Date EXTENDED! UMR, SNPhA, and BSU are happy to announce their clinical diversity speaker panel on Wednesday, April 5th from 6-8PM at STC 145. The speakers are Brandon Garcia, Hajar Mokhlis, Fidelia Bernice, and Taylor Jones. There will be raffle prizes and food! The goal of this panel is to talk about health literacy and representation in healthcare. RSVP is required to attend at this link and RSVP is extended to April 4th. Looking for Membership for New Medical Spanish Club! We are looking for students who are looking for a new way to learn, be involved in the community, and help to combat language barriers! Community Service Opportunity. Want to add to your CV and be involved in the community? I am currently working on a community health improvement project in conjunction with Springfield Pharmacy, specifically owner Chichi Ilonzo Momah, which includes screening our older adults in Delaware County for high blood pressure as well as diabetes in the comfort of their senior center. This is planned to take place at the Chester Senior Center on April 18th from 10am-12pm and if I can acquire some more help from fellow pharmacy students we could possibly expand to other Senior Community Service facilities and make an even bigger impact. New Change of Major application. If you or someone you know is considering changing majors to Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Pharmacology Toxicology we now have a new Change of Major online form. It is still required to meet with the Program Director of the major you want to pursue, but we are moving away form the paper forms. As a reminder, April 1st is the deadline for Fall admission and October 15th is the deadline for Spring admission. Prior to submitting this form, please review these instructions carefully. New PharmD Business Certificates! We have partnered with the Haub School of Business to help pharmacy students become influential leaders in areas like Analytics, Healthcare Management, BioTech, Marketing and more. Take advantage of this opportunity starting in your P1 year. Each program is only 12 credits and will count as Professional Electives with online evening classes available. Students must complete the certificate with a 3.0 GPA or higher and will be awarded simultaneously with your PharmD degree.
