Turning asteroids into food

Thousands of residents in rural Eswatini now have access to schools, health care and jobs thanks to a vital new footbridge designed and built by university students with Engineers in Action, including a trio from Western.

2024 Canada Gairdner Lecture
Christian Landry, 2024 Canada Gairdner Momentum Award Laureate and Canada Research Chair in Cellular Systems and Synthetic Biology at Laval University, will present a lecture titled “Towards a Complete Understanding of Drug Resistance in Pathogenic Fungi.” The Canada Gairdner Momentum Award honours mid-career researchers who have made significant scientific contributions with the potential to impact human health.
