Copthall Gym's wheelchair accessible equipment

It's been a pleasure to support Copthall Gym to improve their accessibility signage last month. Our User Voice team helped highlight the importance of clear signage and the gym has now added stickers to their wheelchair-accessible equipment to make it easier for wheelchair users find the equipment for them. It’s clear Copthall Gym is all about inclusion!

IB helps Festival of Architecture with accessibility info

Our User Voice team met with the Council’s Festival of Architecture team last month to help them with accessibility info on their website. We are delighted to see they’ve included extensive accessibility details on their website, including, automatic doors, accessible toilets, BSL interpreted events, safe spaces and more! You can even filter events on the interactive map by access requirements. There is also a listed access contact for each event if you need to reach out for assistance.

Being heard – User Voice update

Our User Voice team are working with the engagement and co-production team at the local council to make sure your opinions on Adult Social Care help make things better. After the election, we're getting together with them to hold a meeting. We'll be inviting all our members to join us so we can chat face-to-face. Keep an eye on your inbox for invitations coming soon!

We're also happy to announce that Eve is back on the User Voice team! Let us know about any community events you think we should attend, and she will try to get there. Contact: uservoice@inclusionbarnet.org.uk or phone 020 34751314 or text 07719 105107

Starters & leavers

Last month we said goodbye to Ashanty Alves, Project Officer for Barnet Together's Community Organisation Support team.

We also welcome back Eve Byers who you may know from her previous roles at Inclusion Barnet. They have joined the User Voice team as the Outreach and Engagement Officer.
