Week 6 Prayer

Pentecost: 23rd May

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles.

When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled,
they were all in one place together.
And suddenly there came from the sky
a noise like a strong driving wind,
and it filled the entire house in which they were.
Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire,
which parted and came to rest on each one of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit
and began to speak in different tongues,
as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim. The word of the Lord.

All: Thanks be to God.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit that have been given to each person. Not everyone has the same gifts, they are many and varied. The gifts are not to be used to promote oneself, but in service of others.  How is the Spirit alive in me in my life?  What gifts do I have that I could share with this community?  How do I show that I value the gifts of others?
