Samuel’s illustrations are sentimental reflections of his lived trans experience, and he uses his art to both document and process his gender transition. From early moments of longing for his future body, to his top surgery recovery and complications, exploring his sexuality as a gay trans man, to then reconnecting to his childhood self and finally feeling at ease again.
