Hello First-Generation and/or Limited Income Students of the Class of 2027!Welcome to the official first day of New Student Orientation (NSO)! Below you'll find more information about today's FGLI specific events. A full list of all NSO activities will be included in the NSO Daily Digest email, as well as, the website. Events marked [MANDATORY] are events that you must attend. For today’s weather, we’re expecting a
partly cloudy day with a high of 81 degrees. Make sure to stay hydrated by stopping by at our Hospitality Booths for some cold drinks! If you have any questions or would like to know more information about any of the NSO programs, look for our well-trained volunteers, the Peers Helping Integrate New Students (PHINS), all around campus in light blue and dark blue t-shirts. - NSOAI Staff
PennTracks: Center City and
University City & West Philly Tours
PennTracks Tours are free guided tours led by our PHINS student leaders throughout the city of Philadelphia for our first-year students and second-year students. Read more about PennTracks Tours and sign up below! Since all PennTracks Tours will be happening at the same time, please only sign up for one slot.
Engage with Penn faculty, staff, and students in these one-time educational sessions. Preceptorials showcase the cultural, social, and academic richness of our shared community as well as highlight topics on civic engagement, wellness, and the arts in Philadelphia. President and Provost's First-Year Family Welcome
College Green | 4pm-4:45pm
Rain Location: Irvine Auditorium
First-year families join President Magill and Provost John Jackson Jr. at the steps of College Hall for their official Welcome to Penn. Light refreshments will be served!
[MANDATORY] Navigating the First-Generation and/or Limited Income Experience at PennIrvine Auditorium | 10am-12pm Meet the Penn First Plus team, pick up orientation materials, and head over to Houston Hall to get introduced to the resources available at the New Student
Resources Fair & Campus Express Center. Philly Fun ToursShleifer Family Penn First Plus Center | 2pm-4pm Join the PHINS to learn more about fun, no-to-low-cost places to visit for fun in Philly. SEPTA (bus, subway passes) will be provided. Visit places like Magic Gardens, Old City, Bartram's Garden, Chinatown, and more!

TAP Phase Two is officially live! You will not be required to complete a quiz during this phase of TAP. However, this content must be reviewed prior to your mandatory in-person PHINS Orientation Group
Meet-Ups and NSO programming where attendance will be taken. Failure to attend these small group activities could result in a registration hold being placed on your student record.

Locations: Lauder, Kings Court English (Halal available) & Falk Hillel (Kosher available): 11am-2pm DINNER FOR STUDENTS & FAMILIES
