SH11 Lemon's Hill has reopened to single lane traffic

To complete tree removal and loose material clearance, SH11 at Lemon's Hill will remain as a single lane with stop/go traffic control until 5pm on Monday 18 June.

The road will then open fully 24/7 to two lane traffic until mid July.

There is still work to be done to repair the road, which means reducing traffic back down to a single lane again for a short time from mid-July.

Road opening is subject to daily safety checks and geotechnical assessments and therefore access cannot be guaranteed.

In the event Lemon's Hill is closed, road users will need to use the alternative route via State Highways 1, 10 and 11. Drivers should allow up to 30 minutes extra for the journey between Kawakawa and Paihia.

Thank you for your continued patience as we work to repair Lemon's Hill and reopen SH11.
