SH35 speed review - get your feedback in by Monday 19 October
We want to make your roads safer for everyone who uses them. On State Highway 35 the best thing we can do to prevent people from dying or being seriously injured is to ensure speed limits are safe and right for the road. But before we make any decisions, we want to hear from you.
Thank you to those who attended and provided feedback at the drop-in sessions held in Te Araroa, Ruatoria, Te Puia Springs and Tokomaru Bay two weeks ago. If you couldn’t attend, you’re still able to provide feedback.
Have your say: Te Araroa to Te Puia Springs open roads
We’re wanting feedback from the community on the open road section between Te Araroa and Te Puia Springs. There are no suggested changes to the speed limit at this stage. We’re just wanting to hear from local people who can let us know anything specific about this section that will help us make decisions in the future.
You can provide feedback on the interactive Social Pinpoint map here.
SH35 Te Puia Springs township and Te Puia Springs to Tokomaru Bay open roads
We’re also wanting feedback on our proposed new speed limits for three sections of road on SH35.
You can find out more information about these proposed changes, and provide feedback here.
Please provide any feedback you have by Monday 19 October at 5pm. And please feel free to share these links with your friends, whānau or on social media.
