Friday, May 17, 2024: Last day to withdraw from early summer courses with a full fee adjustment (financial withdrawal). ![]() Celebrating Asian Heritage Month During Asian Heritage Month, Carleton is reflecting on and celebrating the diverse contributions of Asian Canadians. Upcoming Rhodes Scholarship Info Webinars If you are a graduating student interested in applying for the Rhodes Scholarship, join the virtual information webinars hosted by the Rhodes House. Details regarding eligibility criteria and Carleton’s internal application process are available on the Carleton Graduate Students website. Emergency Notification System Test A test of Carleton’s Emergency Notification System (ENS) will be conducted on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at approximately 11:15 a.m. This test will include three successive messages sent through each notification type: campus computer screen messages, emails to Carleton University addresses and push notifications through the Carleton Mobile app. To ensure you receive ENS alerts on your mobile device, please download the Carleton Mobile app on the Apple App Store or Google Play and ensure you enable notifications under your mobile device settings. Download the ENS desktop application to receive ENS notifications on your personal laptop. ![]() Now Hiring: International Student Ambassadors The International and Admissions Recruitment office is hiring 10 paid International Student Ambassadors for the next academic year. If you are a current international student and want to share your story, participate in events, create videos and help guide prospective students considering the same journey, apply by Friday, May 10, 2024. Construction on Exterior Stairs, Pathway and Quad Facilities Management and Planning (FMP) has several construction projects about to start across campus. Fencing was erected around the grassed area in the quad on Monday, April 29, 2024 for safety purposes. FMP is investigating reports of compromised trees and possible removal. The deteriorated south-side staircase beside the Tory Building will be rebuilt this summer. The work is expected to be completed by the end of August 2024. A section of the walking path and the tunnel is closed. The pathway along Herzberg Laboratories has temporary moved to accommodate a crane for roof work in May and June. Please visit the Current Students website for some great tips to ensure you’re well-prepared. Some things to consider in advance of registration include: Changes of Program Elements, government funding applications, registration status and year level, account balance and class schedule. The Student Registration Assistance team will be available beginning Wednesday, May 22, 2024, offering in-person, email and phone assistance.
