January 2016

To our customers, staff and friends,

Looking Back and Looking Forward – Two Exciting Years!

It is customary at the beginning of each year to reflect on the previous 12 months, celebrating accomplishments and taking stock of what can be changed and improved. It is also customary to look forward to the New Year to make commitments and resolutions promising renewed energy and progress.

At Emterra, we are in the extraordinary position of being able both to look back with the knowledge that we accomplished a great deal...and look forward with a sense of excitement and anticipation.

What gives 2015 a special shine for us is that we were able to establish three new compressed natural gas (CNG) fuelling stations AND open them to the public, one in Chilliwack, B.C., one in Victoria, B.C. and another in Mississauga, Ontario. This is an unprecedented move. The new facility in Mississauga is the largest CNG fuelling station in Canada that is open to the public. This not only allows Emterra to lower our carbon emissions at various locations throughout the country so that we can become more sustainable, but it also empowers other fleet owners and operators to be greener and more competitive in the transportation industry. We think it’s a game changer.

Looking forward to 2016, we can hardly contain our excitement. It will be our 40th anniversary and we are planning to celebrate with employees, customers and friends throughout the year! In the stories below we unveil our new 40th anniversary logo.

I would like to wish our readers and families a happy, prosperous and safe New Year.

Best wishes,

Emterra Investing in a Greener Future

Emterra Group made a commitment to cleaner air and a less noisy environment starting with our decision three years ago to begin converting our collection fleet to cleaner-burning compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel. Today more than one quarter of our fleet is CNG-powered and there’s more to come but the bigger impact we’re making is creating the opportunity for other fleet owners and operators to ‘go greener’ by providing them with access to our network of four public CNG fuelling stations.
