Artworks installed on McClymonts Bridge

As part of creating a liveable and welcoming community, a selection of artwork sharing stories of the region are being featured across the Auckland’s Northern Corridor Improvements project. Before installation of a pou whenua and panels on McClymonts bridge which mark the taenga arrival for people travelling from the North, a karakia was held with our iwi partners and local artist Graham Tipene who has worked on these designs.

Rosedale Road upgrade: Information event

To support the expected increase in people and vehicles travelling on Rosedale Road between Tawa Drive and Triton Drive, Waka Kotahi is working collaboratively with Auckland Transport to upgrade the local road. The upgrades will help support access to the future planned Rosedale Station, making travel safer and more reliable for people getting around on foot, by bike or bus.

We recently held an information session to provide more details on what changes will be taking place so that people who live, work or travel through the area could find out more. Unable to attend but keen to know more? Get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to answer your questions.

Get ready for the Northern Busway opening soon

Reliable public transport helps make it more appealing for people to leave their cars at home and hop on a bus to get to work or travel around their local neighbourhood.

The Northern Busway is a dedicated and separated two-way road for buses adjacent to the Northern Motorway (SH1) which currently provides a largely congestion-free run between Constellation Station and the Auckland Harbour Bridge.

In a few months, the approx. 5km extension of the busway will be open in both directions, extending the network of reliable public transport on the North Shore all the way to Albany. To help provide these benefits to communities along the route as soon as possible, the southbound lane will open first followed by the northbound lane and upgraded Constellation Station.
