COVID-19 update
As New Zealand moves to COVID-19 Alert Level 3 next week, Waka Kotahi the New Zealand Transport Agency will be reinstating work on construction projects.
From Tuesday 28 April, construction work on the Ahaura River Bridge replacement project will resume.
Strict health and safety protocols will be in place across the project, including restricted access to sites, requirements for workers to maintain physical distancing, as well as the use of additional facilities and protective clothing.
Traffic restrictions in place at the start of the Level 4 lockdown will remain in place.
Please be alert to changes in traffic management, follow all on-site signage and drive to the conditions.
