With support from an LCANZ Local Mission Fund grant, Trinity Lutheran Church Ashmore has planted Encounter Lutheran Church on Queensland's Gold Coast. The new ministry is creating opportunities for students, children and families to encounter Jesus through worship, fellowship and outreach. Read more

The LCA's 22nd Regular Convention of General Synod will be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in Queensland from 1 to 4 October 2027. Information on delegate fees, key deadlines and planning for delegates has now been released to help congregations and parishes prepare for the gathering.

A summary of feedback received on the LCANZ Code of Conduct is now available. The General Church Board and College of Bishops will now review the feedback as they revise the Code of Conduct and implementation plan, with further consultation to follow.

Ordained 5 January 1969 (St Matthew's Footscray Vic); served Victor Harbor SA (1969–1973), Wangaratta Vic (1973–1979), Marton NZ (1979–1986), Christchurch NZ (1986–1993), Canberra ACT (1993–1998) and Lobethal SA (1998–2008); retired 6 July 2008; died 10 August 2026; funeral 20 August 2026, 2pm, Redeemer Lutheran Church Goolwa SA; mourned by wife Barbara, children Emma, Daniel and Jonathon and families
Nearly 30 people from around Australia and New Zealand attended Australian Lutheran College’s winter classes in Adelaide recently. Held in July at LCANZ Church House in Adelaide’s CBD, the face-to-face intensives on offer included Introduction to Christian Mission, Moral Theology and Coaching and Mentoring. Read more

The 2026 retreat, Balancing Act, and its resources are now available online. Suitable for personal devotion, small groups and congregations, they include video content and reflection materials.
