Sunday 18 October – Saturday 24 October

Sunday 18 –  Thursday 22 October

• Full closure of all southbound lanes from Takanini to Papakura Sunday to Thursday between 10pm and 5am.
• Closure of the southbound on-ramp at Takanini Sunday to Thursday between 9pm and 5am.
• Closure of the Hill Road off-ramp Wednesday and Thursday only, between 9pm and 5am.
• Takanini Interchange closure of northbound off and on-ramp Sunday to Thursday between 9pm and 5am.
• Closure of the northbound Hill Road on-ramp Thursday only, between 9pm and 5am.
• Partial closure of Great South Road westbound at Takanini interchange Sunday to Thursday between 9pm and 5am. Motorists will still be able to travel through Great South Road but will experience a lane layout change.

Labour Weekend

• No road closures Labour Weekend 24-26 October.

Upcoming Closures (subject to change)

Tuesday 27 October

• Takanini Interchange closure of northbound on-ramp between 9pm and 5am.
• Partial closure of Great South Road eastbound at Takanini interchange between 9pm and 5am. Motorists will still be able to travel through Great South Road but will experience a lane layout change.

Wednesday 28 October

• Full closure of all southbound lanes from Manukau to Takanini between 10pm and 5am. This includes full closure of all southbound on-ramps at Redoubt Road, Lambie Drive, SH20-1 Link and southbound offramps at Hill Road and Takanini between 9pm and 5am.
• Full closure of all northbound lanes from Takanini to Manukau between 10pm and 5am. This includes full closure of the southbound on-ramps at Hill Road and Takanini between 9pm and 5am.
• Partial closure of Great South Road eastbound at Takanini interchange between 9pm and 5am. Motorists will still be able to travel through Great South Road but will experience a lane layout change.

Thursday 29 October

• Full closure of all northbound lanes from Papakura to Takanini between 10pm and 5am. This includes full closure of all northbound on-ramps at Beach Road, Beach Road Loop and Takanini, between 9pm and 5am.
• Partial closure of Great South Road eastbound at Takanini interchange between 9pm and 5am. Motorists will still be able to travel through Great South Road but will experience a lane layout change.

Looking Ahead

Weather permitting, night time closures will continue intermittently, affecting sections of both northbound and southbound lanes of the Southern Motorway between Manukau and Papakura.
