Support for your small business

Redlands Coast Small Business Hub
The Redlands Coast Small Business Hub, a free information service where you can discover and connect with complimentary business supports, has now expanded with a trial service at Victoria Point Library til December 2024. The Department of Employment, Small Business and Training with Redland City Council are facilitating the expansion building on the success of the hub at Cleveland Library.  

If you are starting out, want to grow your business or need support, accessing the hub can help unlock your business' potential. To book an appointment or find out more information, register online. The hub is available fortnightly, upcoming dates:

  • Thursday 15 August - Cleveland Library
  • Thursday 5 September - Victoria Point Library
  • Thursday 19 September - Cleveland Library

Introducing Natasha Comber

Redland City Council recently welcomed Natasha Comber, Group Manager Economic Development and Investment to the team in June 2024. Natasha is a passionate and results-orientated leader with more than 16 years’ experience in local government and nine years’ experience in the private sector. Natasha has worked across a variety of industries and has a proven track record of success in strategic planning, economic development and building strong internal and external partnerships. Natasha is leading the Economic Development and Investment Group to deliver economic development initiatives in Council's 2024/25 operational plan and prepare for the next 3 years and beyond. Please join us in warmly welcoming Natasha.

This Queensland Government Program is open for organisations to lead industry projects to help young people acquire the skills needed to participate in Queensland's growing economy. Applications close Friday 9 August 2024

Tourism capability subsidy

The Tourism Business Capability Subsidy, by Queensland Government, provides funding to eligible sole traders, micro, small and medium-sized tourism and event businesses to undertake targeted training and/or accreditation programs.

Supporting women in male-dominated industries

The Queensland Government's Women in Industry Grant Program is open for applications, up to $150,000 (category 1) and up to $20,000 (category 2), to challenge barriers and drive change. Applications close Friday 9 August 2024.
