Please join us for the annual Crop Walk to help end world hunger. This is a great family activity and we are hoping for a big turn out this year! The Crop Walk this year will be held on Sunday, May 7th, at Gary Memorial Methodist Church in Wheaton. Check-in begins at 1pm and the walk begins at 2pm. It is a 3-mile walk. Membership Life invites you to a fun-filled evening of theater on Friday, June 2nd at Wheaton Drama.

Enjoy the merry, madcap musical, A Gentlemen’s Guide to Love and Murder.

Dinner at 5:30 is an option for any interested and the musical begins at 7:30. Tickets are $26.

To secure a seat with our St. Matthew group, contact Bernie Tameling by May 12th.

We are excited to announce that St. Matthew is planning a fun-filled week of activities, June 5th-9th from 9am-12noon. A family ice cream social will be held Friday, June 9th at 6:30pm. 

For children ages 3-4 (must have completed at least one year of preschool) and grades K-5th grade (completed grades K-5th)

Cost is $35 per child. Scholarships available. Contact the office for more information.

We need the following items for crafts and decorations for VBS. Label all items and place them in the kids kitchen next to the nursery. We will be sure to label your Christmas trees when we put them up to make sure they get back to you.

We need:

Christmas trees
empty toilet paper rolls
empty paper towel rolls
empty and clean milk cartons
empty Kleenex boxes
stuffed FOREST animals (raccoon, bears, rabbits...)
metal trash can
tops to kid's food pouches
empty and clean metal food cans

Please leave them in the kids kitchen by May 28th so we know how much we have. Thank you!

We need a Publicity Chair to help us spread the word about our awesome events! Post our events on Nextdoor, The Patch, and others. Dani has a list of sources.

The Publicity Chair also makes sure that banners are put up a few weeks before the events occur.  

This is a great way to volunteer while working from home. Please contact Kenna Anderson if you can help.

We are in need of a second volunteer in the nursery on May 28th (Memorial Day weekend) and June 4th or we will have to close the nursery on those days.

Please consider helping out, especially if you use this service of our church. Let Dani in the office know if you can help.

ESSE Adult Day Services is again participating in the 4th annual Giving DuPage Days, a community-wide fundraiser that enables over 100 charities to raise much-needed funds for their organization, and this event is ESSE's main fundraiser in 2023.
