Joel Bowden Media Release Supporting our international students20 May 2024 The Territory Labor Government values our international students. The 2024 International Student Wellbeing Grants that aim to support students living in the Territory are open to local businesses, student groups and community organisations. Grants up to $10,000 are available for employment skills initiatives, volunteering and leadership programs, sporting activities, community and multicultural events as well as mental health awareness activities. Since the International Student Wellbeing Grants were established in 2018 the Territory Labor Government has provided more than $850,000 and engaged with over 9,000 international students studying in the Territory. There are currently more than 5,600 international students studying in the Northern Territory and the Territory Labor Government aims to grow that to 10,000 international students by 2030.
