However, this didn't stop us from going ahead (albeit on different dates!). Our thanks goes to Dr Tanya Ward for rescheduling these two events on such short notice. The ASM was held in McCusker Auditorium at the Perkins Institute of Medical Research on 27 September. We hosted a mix of online and in person speakers and panellists. Thank you to everyone who joined us, especially our online participants Dr Meera Agar from the University of Technology Sydney, Dr Elham Beheshti from the University of Sydney, and Associate Professor Sonja Klebe and Dr Ben Johnson from ADRI in Sydney, who generously lent their expertise and time over the day. The theme of this year's public seminar, held on 20 October, was 'Report, Record, Research'. This year, about half of our audience attended in person at Room G24 of the Perkins Institute of Medical Research, and half joined online from interstate and internationally. It was a great opportunity for patients, carers and advocates to stay informed of the latest developments in the asbestos-related disease space.
