Click here NATE Spearheads Tower Climb Featuring FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr On Wednesday, September 14, NATE, Safety LMS, SBA Communications Corporation, and Wiley hosted a communications tower climb in Odenton, Maryland. The climbers – who won the experience at the Federal Communications Bar Association’s Annual Charity Auction – got to speak with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Commissioner Brendan Carr. NATE would like to thank all the participants and extend a special thank you to Commissioner Carr for their interest and commitment to tower safety. NTIA to Hold Annual Spectrum Policy Symposium On Monday, September 19, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) will hold its fifth annual Spectrum Policy Symposium at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. The symposium will feature key government officials from the White House, Congress, FCC, and federal agencies, who will discuss spectrum management coordination, national spectrum policies, and how they support 5G network deployments, next-gen cellular and WiFi, and closing the digital divide. FCC Holds Technological Advisory Council Meeting On Thursday, September 15, the FCC held a meeting of its Federal Advisory Committee and Technological Advisory Council to consider and advise the Commission on issues including 6G, advanced spectrum sharing technologies, and emerging wireless technologies. Report Urges U.S. to Form Allied Tech Alliance to Outpace China On Monday, September 12, the Special Competitive Studies Project released its first report, based on meetings with over 200 experts, advocating the formation of a Techno-Industrial Alliance with allies and partners within the next eight years to outpace China in 5G among other cutting-edge technologies.
