ONE WEEK TO GO!

Burnley Live 2025 is Ready to Turn Up the Volume on a Long Weekend of Music and Entertainment

 

Get ready to turn up the volume because Burnley Live 2025 is back next week! 🎶

Burnley Live is tuning up to be one of the biggest music celebrations in the town, and YOU are invited.

From indie and rock to pop and punk, the festival covers a variety of genres, with a Headline Stage located on Ormerod Street showcasing an incredible line-up of local bands and musicians throughout the weekend.  

St James’s Street will come alive with the Artisan Market, set to take place on Saturday 3rd May, serving everything from popular street food to local produce and arts and crafts, while families can experience Northern Dholis - a team of skilled Bhangra Dhol players providing lively and energetic drumming performances at 11am and 12pm as well as live choir, Local Vocals performing contemporary tunes at 1pm and 2pm at Charter Walk. Don't miss Live Wrestling action at Burnley Market, where the stars of Top Rope Wrestling Academy battle it out from 12pm – 2pm. 

With an eclectic range of entertainment, this year’s line-up includes a mix of crowd-pleasing favourites and rising stars.

Look out for performances from the likes of the world’s first and best Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band, Fleetwood Bac, ska band Owter Zeds, Electric Disco band The Blipz, acoustic rock and pop band The Biscuit Bros, local Burnley singer Georgina Moat, and a variety of icon tribute acts including Kylie, ABBA, Meat Loaf, Bon Jovi and Robbie Williams amongst many others. 

There will also be lots of Karaoke Events, meaning audience members can show off their skills and get in on all the musical action!

From 10pm - Defunked - Remedy Gin Bar

3.05pm – 4.50pm – Rude Boyz – a shot of ska, reggae and 2Tone classics

5.10pm – 6.55pm – Supernova – four-piece rock and indie chart band

7.15pm – 9pm – Marching Bones – a rock covers band playing classic and modern rock.

Sunday 4th May 2025

1pm – 2.45pm - Soul Gravy - a duo providing a mix of styles for your pleasure

3.05pm – 4.50pm – The Vibe – a four-piece band playing everything from 60s to modern rock

5.10pm – 6.55pm – Skafull – a 7-piece Ska Reggae Band

7.15pm – 9pm – Roadkill Revival – playing rock, pop, punk and drunk

Popular venues signed up to take part this year include Bar Mojitos, Remedy Gin Bar, The Big Window, The Royal Dyche, Smackwater Jacks, The Loom, The Palazzo, Burnley Mechanics Theatre, Ellis’s, The Turf, The Inn on the Wharf, The Swan, Real Food Hall, Penny Black, Hatters Craft Bar, The Coal Yard, The Swan, The Little White Horse, Hidden, Mr Greens and Charter Walk Shopping Centre.

Join Lancashire Music Association for a Beginners Guide to Running Music Events 🎸

If you're interested in learning how to host your own music event, make your ideas a reality with Lancashire Music Association on Friday 2nd May 2025. 

Part of Burnley Live 2025, this one-time event will teach you all the ins and outs on running an event in an inclusive, relaxed and informal workshop.

Do you know a young person aged 13-18 who’s ready to make new friends, take part in exciting activities, and make a real difference in their community? The Police Cadets could be just what they’re looking for!

From Wednesday 14th May to Wednesday 25th June 2025, Burnley will be transformed into a giant interactive game as Beat the Street arrives in town!

This free and fun initiative encourages everyone to get active by walking, cycling, running, scooting or wheeling around our local area. Earn points, take on exciting challenges, and be in with a chance to win some fantastic prizes - all while exploring Burnley in a whole new way.

Burnley is set to burst with creativity as the Burnley Words Festival returns from 15th – 18th May for a celebration of storytelling, poetry, and community spirit.

From captivating performances on the Local Writers Stage at Burnley Mechanics Theatre to magical moments in the heart of town; don’t miss the unforgettable Hodman and Sally at Charter Walk Shopping Centre - two whimsical wanderers from the land of Oblivia who’ll charm you with their tales, quirky wisdom, and curious conversations.

Burnley FC Announce Promotion Parade ⚽️

Get ready for a day to remember as Burnley marks its triumphant return to the Premier League with a massive civic celebration on Tuesday 6th May!

Fans are invited to line the streets as Manager Scott Parker and the squad take to the balcony of Burnley Town Hall at 6:15pm for interviews and cheers from the crowd.

The excitement continues with an open-top bus parade starting at 7pm, travelling from the Town Hall down Manchester Road, along St James’ Street, through Yorkshire Street, and finishing on Harry Potts Way and Turf Moor. 

Before the team arrives, the celebrations kick off from midday in the public space outside McDonald’s, hosted by Burnley.co.uk, Burnley.social, Discover Burnley, and Burnley FC in the Community.

Join us for fun challenges, prizes, and family-friendly activities - perfect for fans of all ages!

Step into the great outdoors and Discover Burnley 🍃

Ready to uncover the hidden gems of Burnley’s stunning footpaths and walking routes? Whether you're looking for a gentle family stroll or a full-on hiking challenge, there's a route for everyone at this year’s Big Burnley Walk!

Starting and finishing at the beautiful Offshoots Community Garden in Towneley Park, you can choose from three scenic options: a family-friendly Short Stroll (3-4 miles), a scenic Medium Meander (8 miles), or take on THE Big Burnley Walk (13.5 miles) if you're up for the ultimate challenge.

Best of all? It’s completely FREE to take part.

Maps are provided on the day, and while the routes are self-guided, you'll never be left behind with walkers on every path.

No age restrictions, dogs on leads are welcome, and toilets and pay & display parking are available on site.

Just make sure to dress for the weather and register on arrival - then head off to explore the town in all its natural glory.
