OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

  • Discover leadership opportunities at Young Canadians Roundtable at Health (YCRH)! Volunteer for key roles. Apply now.
  • Join YWCA's Career Exploration and Leadership Journey program designed for youth aged 16 to 25. Explore careers, enhance leadership skills. Upcoming session registration link. 
  • Actua's National Girls Program empowers girls and young women in STEM. Explore science clubs, day camps, conferences, and more. Find a program near you.
  • YMCA provides financial assistance through donations and fundraising, ensuring everyone in your community can access programs. Eligibility varies, contact your local YMCA for details here.
  • Wisdom2Action, in collaboration with SIECCAN, seeks youth (16-29) with physical disabilities for a vital project on sexual health education resources. If you, or someone you know (youth with a physical disability between 16-29 years old) would like more information about registering to participate in a focus group, please email info@wisdom2action.org with the subject line 'Sex education focus group'. 
  • Experiences Canada Youth Advisory Council (YAC) – Recruitment is open to Youth ages 14-17. Apply here! 
  • Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada offers post-secondary scholarships, providing $5000 annually for up to 7 years. Open to young individuals. The deadline is January 24th, 2024. Apply here.

FOR FRONTLINE WORKERS

Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada in collaboration with Prosper Canada Financial Literacy Program, designed for young individuals transitioning from the child welfare system, provides crucial online training. Explore further details here.

Kids in Canada Face a Polycrisis - Raising Canada 2023 is the sixth in an annual series of reports that track the top 10 threats to childhood. This year, the report highlights how children and youth have compounded, complex, and urgent needs in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent “tripledemic”. 

TakingITGlobal's Action Guides - The creation of this guide was informed by the experiences of youth leaders from around the world as part of research conducted by TakingITGlobal's Co-Founder, Jennifer Corriero, on Youth-Led Action in an International Context.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

Pathways to Education has ongoing Tutoring and Mentoring volunteer roles available. Virtual volunteering is available for most volunteer roles and volunteer candidates will be appropriately oriented for virtual volunteering experiences. Learn more.
