Current P1's! CVS/AACP Community Pharmacy Health Equity Award for Student Pharmacists is open!

The CVS/AACP Community Pharmacy Health Equity Award for Student Pharmacists will be awarded to 21 outstanding student pharmacists who face financial barriers in their pursuit of education including, but not limited to those who identify as an underrepresented minority student, a student with a disability, or a student with a previous or current military service to include national guard and reserves. Students must be enrolled in their first (P1) year of the professional phase of the PharmD degree program during the 2023-2024 academic year at an American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) member institution. Selected awardees must demonstrate leadership, academic success, and a commitment to advocate and care for patients in underserved communities. Each awardee will receive a single $20,000 scholarship. Reminder! Pfizer Drug Discovery and Development Workshop!

Pfizer is partnering with Philadelphia College of Pharmacy to offer the 3D Drug Discovery and Development Workshop on Tuesday, June 11th from 10 AM to 3 PM. The event will be held in IPEX 307 and lunch will be provided. Go to the link at the button below for an overview, learning objectives and application information. Space is limited, so apply early! Application is due no later than May 2nd at 8 AM. Everyone will be notified of their application status by May 16th. Students who attended the workshop in 2023 are not eligible to participate. Humana-Enclara Remote Pharmacy Internship Opportunity

Enclara Pharmacia, a Humana company, just opened paid Pharmacy Internship positions and we hope you may have interested students.

We are seeking students that are P2s (completing P2) and above. This is a remote role where the student most reside in PA or TN while working. The student must be available to train full time for approximately 4 weeks. We are targeting a start date once classes end this semester. New Approved Professional Electives!!

SOC 323 and HSC 323, Health and Society have been added to the list of approved non-PCP Professional Electives. Added bonus is they also double-count towards separate General Education requirements! Review your Degree Works to see how they will apply. Please note that these two courses are cross-listed so they cannot be combined together to receive professional elective credit. ACCP Clinical Pharmacy Challenge

We are looking for students who would like to represent PCP in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Clinical Pharmacy Challenge. This competition starts with online rounds and the semifinals and finals are held live during the ACCP Annual Meeting in Phoenix in October. If you are interested in participating, please complete the interest form by 4/30. If there is a lot of interest, we will hold a short virtual exam on 5/9 from 1-2 pm, and select the top 4 scores.
