Dear Resident and Family Member,

Update for residents & families of Calvary Narracan Gardens: COVID-19 Outbreak declared over

I am very pleased to inform you that no additional cases of COVID-19 have been detected amongst residents at Calvary Narracan Gardens in the most recent round of testing.

In line with Public Health Unit advice, the outbreak at Calvary Narracan Gardens can now be declared over and we will welcome visitors back into the home from tomorrow 12 February 2022, consistent with Calvary’s Position Statement on Visiting in Aged Care

Updated information for visitors

  • Calvary Narracan Gardens is open to visitors from tomorrow 12 February 2022.
  • Visiting hours are from 10.00am - 5.00pm.
  • There is no limit to the number of visitors allowed per resident, per day.
  • Visitors will be required to complete screening requirements prior to entry and wear appropriate PPE (including surgical mask and shield) whilst visiting. PPE is provided by Calvary.
  • As a precaution to keeping residents safe, visitors will be required to have a rapid antigen test (RAT test) before entering the home. This takes time, and we ask for your patience as we manage this important screening process.
  • If you have any questions please speak with the home manager.

Our staff will continue to closely monitor all residents for symptoms of COVID-19.

We are very grateful to our residents and families for your continued support and understanding during this challenging time, and very much look forward to receiving visitors back into the home.

You can help us by sharing this information with your family and friends.

Sincerely,

Sharon Martindale
General Manager Aged Care
