Please find below the schedule for upcoming motorway night closures for the SH1 Papakura to Drury project for the week commencing Sunday 22 February 2026.

Traffic notices provide a brief overview of temporary night closures and road layout changes for the specified period.

Traffic notices | Ngā pānui rori - for Sunday 22 February to Saturday 28 February 2026

All closures are subject to change depending on weather and ground conditions.

Full and/or partial (single lane) road closures have been scheduled for the coming week as follows: 

SH1 Southern Motorway - southbound

  • Sunday 22 February - Thursday 26 February: All southbound motorway lanes will be closed between Papakura Interchange and Drury Interchange from 9pm at night to 5am the next morning. A southbound detour will be in place between the two interchanges along Beach Road and Great South Road.

SH1 Southern Motorway - northbound

  • Sunday 22 February - Thursday 26 FebruaryAll northbound motorway lanes will be closed between Drury Interchange and Papakura Interchange from 9pm at night to 5am the next morning. A northbound detour will be in place between the two interchanges along Great South Road and Beach Road.

SH22/Great South Road

  • Sunday 22 February - Saturday 28 February and for 24/7 until notified otherwise: The right-hand turn lane onto the Drury southbound on-ramp will remain closed. 
    Motorists can follow the signposted detour to Drury roundabout and back along Great South Road to turn left onto the southbound on-ramp, or alternatively use Great South Road and Ararimu Road to access SH1 southbound at Ramarama Interchange.

Bremner Road, Drury

  • Sunday 22 February - Saturday 28 February and for 24/7 until notified otherwise: One lane will remain closed between Victoria Street and Tributary Parade. A single lane will remain open for two-way traffic with temporary traffic signals in place. Vehicle and pedestrian access will be maintained to all properties.
  • Sunday 22 February - Saturday 28 February and for 24/7 until notified otherwise: The Bremner Road bridge over SH1 (between 14 Bremner Road and 33 Bremner Road) will remain closed. A detour via Firth Street, Great South Road / SH22, and Victoria Street will be in place.

Victoria Street, Drury (northern end between Drury Sports Complex and Bremner Road)

  • Sunday 22 February - Saturday 28 February and for 24/7 until notified otherwiseOne lane will remain closed at the Bremner Road intersection. A single lane will remain open for two-way traffic with temporary traffic signals in place. Vehicle and pedestrian access will be maintained to all properties.

Creek Street, Drury

  • Sunday 22 February: One lane will be closed between 23 and 69 Creek Street from 9pm at night to 5am the next morning. A single lane will remain open for two-way traffic with temporary traffic signals in place. Vehicle and pedestrian access will be maintained to all properties.
  • Monday 23 February: If required for contingency purposes, one lane will be closed between 23 and 69 Creek Street from 9pm at night to 5am the next morning. A single lane will remain open for two-way traffic with temporary traffic signals in place. Vehicle and pedestrian access will be maintained to all properties.
