Council's Economic Development and Partnerships Group are pleased to welcome Carla Newman and Michael Anderson to the group's leadership team. Our newest team members join Christine Potito, Service Manager Destination and Place Development and Group Manager, Natasha Comber. The appointments completed a recent service redesign to better position the group to deliver on our Redlands Coast economic development agenda, and support local industry and business thrive through a partnered approach. Carla brings more than 16 years of experience at Council, including strong background in strategic planning, business transformation and most recently working closely with the City’s tourism industry to support visitor economy growth. In leading Council's strategic partnerships and advocacy, Carla will work with public and private sector stakeholders to realise opportunities that deliver economic outcomes and community benefit. She will also oversee Council’s advocacy program, and lead promotion of Redlands Coast as a great place to invest and live. Michael has more than 30 years of town and strategic planning experience in both local government and private sector, including leading city planning and assessment here at Council. Michael’s experience, combined with local knowledge, position him well to deliver insightful and impactful economic development services to help build capability of Redlands Coast.
