Hello Incoming Transfer Students!
Welcome to your first day of Transfer Student Orientation! Below you'll find more information about today's events.
Today's weather will be fairly warm, with a high of 84 degrees. Some rain is expected. Make sure to stay hydrated by stopping by at our Hospitality Booths for some cold drinks!
If you have any questions or would like to know more information about any of the New Student Orientation (NSO) programs, look for our well-trained volunteers, the Peers Helping Integrate New Students (PHINS), all around campus in light blue and navy blue t-shirts.

If you have any questions, be sure to reach out to your PHINS Orientation Leader who will guide you through the week.

Penn Parents & Families Welcome
Gutmann College House, Multi-Purpose Room | 3pm-4:30pm
Drop-in event for transfer families and students to mingle and learn about resources that can be important. Light refreshments will be provided.
Welcome Picnic & Dessert Reception
Gutmann College House, Lawn | 6pm-8pm
Rain Location: Gutmann College House, Multi-Purpose Room
Join us after move-in to share catered food and desserts. Let the fun of NSO begin!
Penn Parents & Families Dessert Reception
Institute for Contemporary Art (ICA) | 6:30pm-8pm
While new students engage with their fellow Quakers, parents and families are invited to explore newly-installed art exhibitions and enjoy a dessert reception while mingling with Penn staff and PHINS orientation leaders at one the world’s preeminent venues for contemporary art and culture. Dining Café Hours For Monday, August 19
Dining café hours throughout the week of NSO can be viewed on Penn Dining website. The options for today are listed below.
Hill, Kings Court English House, 1920 Commons, Lauder Dining Cafés
Lunch and Dinner: 11:00am-8:00pm
Falk Hillel Dining Café
Lunch: 11:00am-2:00pm
Dinner: 4:00pm-7:00pm
Halal is offered at Kings Court English House, and Kosher dining is available at Falk Hillel
