Greetings!
April has been an exciting month for PCSD, filled with achievements and new beginnings. I'm thrilled to share some highlights that truly showcase the incredible work we're doing together.
First off, let's give a big round of applause to BayTech in Oakland for their Redevelopment of the Year Award! It's a testament to their dedication to the community.
Additionally, our Northern California team has been making remarkable progress at both VOICES in Morgan Hill and Achieve Academy in Oakland. It's incredible to see our vision turning into reality as these projects take shape, providing even more opportunities for students in under-resourced areas.
I also want to take a moment to highlight our experience working hand-in-hand with school districts to provide facilities solutions for charter schools. Our collaborative approach ensures that our partners' educational needs are met while also maintaining long-term financial sustainability.
Last but certainly not least, I want to extend a warm welcome to our newest team member, Eric Kot, as Executive Director, Texas. We can't wait to see the positive impact he'll make.
Here's to another month of making a difference and pushing forward on our mission to dismantle systemic inequality in education.

BayTech Groundbreaking and Awards
Bay Area Technology School (BayTech) won the Redevelopment of the Year Award for East Bay/Oakland.
The school is transforming a historical Oakland theater into a cutting-edge STEM-focused school. This project not only revitalizes a beloved community space but also provides students with innovative educational opportunities.
PCSD recently participated in BayTech's ceremonial groundbreaking and awards ceremony.
Huge congratulations to BayTech and the entire project team for their dedication, creativity, and vision in making this project a reality!
SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTS
VOICES Morgan Hill
Voices College-Bound Language Academies in Morgan Hill reached a significant construction milestone recently. Forty-two modular buildings were delivered and placed on their foundations, signaling substantial progress in the development of their new campus. PCSD has been working closely with VOICES to ensure the timely completion of their new facility for the 2024-2025 school year. We eagerly anticipate seeing the students thrive in their enhanced learning environment this coming fall.
Achieve Academy
Achieve Academy in Oakland achieved a remarkable construction milestone by finishing the new school building and performing the demolition on the old portables and dated 2-story classroom building during the spring break. It required significant hard work, dedication, and collaboration to accomplish this feat. We eagerly anticipate the delivery of the final fully developed campus for the 2024-2025 school year.
OUR PEOPLE
Welcome to Eric Kot!
We are excited to welcome a new member of the PCSD/TCSD team, Eric Kot, who joins us as Executive Director, Texas.
Originally from Michigan, Eric relocated to Houston, Texas in 1997. Prior to PCSD, he worked for KIPP Public Schools for over 15+ years having held various leadership positions including Chief Operating Officer (KIPP Houston) and Deputy Chief of Operations (KIPP Texas) where he oversaw real estate and construction for the State. Prior to KIPP, Eric worked at Compaq Computers/Hewlett-Packard as a Senior Project Manager in the Corporate Strategy group.
