New report: VocTech market activity
Ufi Ventures, in collaboration with Tyton Partners, have published the latest VocTech market activity report.
We share our research of future of work market activity from Q2 2025, providing insight on the short-term and long-term trends.
Four key takeaways:
- The UK government made a series of major policy announcements, many of which see increased investment in key sectors and skills.
- Big Tech companies – including “hyperscalers” such as OpenAI – are muscling in to the education space, likely in search of long-term users and increased engagement.
- The future of junior white-collar workers, and how they should be trained, is a key focus of debate.
- Companies who facilitate AI-driven HR workflows are raising sizeable funding, with Europeans closing unusually large €20m+ Series A rounds.
Latest: Springpod hosts a Parliamentary Reception
Ufi Ventures portfolio company Springpod hosted a Parliamentary Reception at the House of Commons this month.
The reception celebrated the power of virtual work experience to unlock opportunities for young people. The event brought together students, educators, employers, and policymakers to spotlight the impact of immersive, accessible career programmes and to champion inclusive pathways into the world of work.
Event: Open education, AI and populism
Our Strategic Partners at the Association for Learning Technology (ALT) are hosting an online conference to discuss what’s next for open education.
The event on 16th September, brings together practitioners, researchers and policymakers from across sectors to explore equity and social justice, open practice during times of change, and the politics of openness in the age of AI.
