Owens Place A contra flow remains in place during service relocation works in the verge next to Home Zone. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Sunday 9 December to Saturday 15 December 2018. Nights & days: ongoing.
Matapihi Road A pedestrian diversion is in place near Golf 360 during water relocation works. No delays are expected. Sunday 9 December to Saturday 15 December 2018. Nights & days: ongoing.
SH2 & Matapihi Road Lane and semi static closures will be in place while changes to the road alignment at Bayfair roundabout take place. Sunday 9 December 2018. Nights: 7pm to 6am.
SH2 & SH29A Mobile and semi static closures will be initiated during permanent line removal site wide. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Monday 10 December to Tuesday 11 December 2018.Nights: 7pm to 6am.
SH2 - northbound Truck and trailer movements through Site Access Points 3, 4 and 6 to deliver pumice, sand and aggregate for roading and stone columns. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Monday 10 December to Friday 14 December 2018.
Days: 9am to 4pm.
SH2 & SH29A Mobile and semi static closures will be initiated during site wide road sweeping. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Wednesday 12 December 2018. Nights: 7pm to 6am.
Long-term traffic management
• State Highway 2 between Te Maunga roundabout and Concord Avenue - narrowed lanes and a 50km/h temporary speed restriction are in place for the duration of the project.
• Matapihi Road, adjacent to the golf driving range – narrowed lanes and a 30km/h temporary speed restriction is in place for the duration of the project.
• Girven Road, near the Bayfair roundabout - narrowed lanes are in place for the duration of the project and the right-turn from the Bayfair Shopping Centre car park onto Girven Road is permanently closed.
• Access onto State Highway 2 / Maunganui Road from Exeter Street is closed for about 18 months. Resident only access.
• SH29A near Baypark – narrowed lanes and a 50km/h temporary speed restriction are in place for the duration of the project.
Advanced notice of significant works
SH29A Closure of SH29A between the Te Maunga and Baypark roundabouts to install stone columns and remove traffic island. Sign posted detour will be in place. Traffic delays are expected. Friday 14 December to Monday 17 December 2018.Nights & days: 9pm Friday to 4am Monday.
Matapihi Road A contra flow will be in place between Owens Place and the rail crossing during installation of kerb and channel near Home Zone. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Tuesday 22 January to Thursday 23 January 2018. Nights: 7pm to 6am.
