Gregor Reid recognized for global work

Professor emeritus Gregor Reid was recognized for his impressive career in AIDS and probiotics research, and his global work through Western Heads East, with the establishment of an award in his name, The Gregor Reid Award for Outstanding Scholars in Developing Nations.  

Improving newcomer health care

Nursing professor Shokoufeh Modanloo is leading a project studying how newcomer women from the Middle East interact with the health-care system while pregnant and after giving birth.

New mental health supports for students

Togetherall and Wellness Navigator are two new digital mental health supports designed to help students manage their well-being remotely, while also directing them to in-person resources when they need them.

Student-led initiative ACCESS Inc. (Admissions Counselling and Coaching for Equitable Students Success) offers free application and interview guidance to under-represented students applying to Schulich Medicine & Dentistry.

Help keep campus safe this winter: Report snow-related hazards 
With the cold weather upon us, paths and stairs may become icy and snow-covered. Report slippery and inaccessible areas to ext. 83304 or fmhelp@uwo.ca with the following details: building name, exit/entrance number or description, the hazard and a photo when possible.

Preparing campus buildings for the holiday break 
Please remember to close office and classroom windows when you leave campus for the holiday break. This helps conserve energy and may also prevent pipes from freezing which can lead to flooding.
