St John's School Newsletter Term 4, Week 8 St John's is a Child Safe School where all children are respected and are protected from harm. Principal's Message Dear Families,
Welcome to Week 8. Vaccinations - Please take time to read the letter that was emailed out yesterday regarding vaccinations and end of year school events. Masks - If your child is in Year 3-6, please make sure they are coming to school with a mask. There are still many schools that are closed due to COVID cases and we need your support so we can avoid cases and remain open. School Sores - Last night I sent a letter to all families regarding School Sores. Please take time to read the letter and seek medical advice if necessary. Burtons Visit - Over the next week students will be visiting Burton’s Supermarket to purchase a non-perishable grocery item for St Vincent de Paul. St Vinnie’s supports people in our local community that are experiencing hardship and have been overwhelmed by the number of people calling on their resources during the pandemic. The items purchased will be gratefully received by the volunteers. Thank you to all families who have sent along $5 per child and returned permission notes. 2022 Foundation Transition - This Friday we welcome our 2022 Foundation students into our school. Mrs Clarke and Mrs Ramsden are looking forward to spending time with our new Foundation students and getting to know them. The Year 5's are also looking forward to meeting their buddies. School Advisory Council AGM - The next School Advisory Council meeting will be held on Tuesday 30th November at 6pm in Harry’s Bar at the Seven Creeks Hotel. This meeting will be our AGM (non voting) as well as our final meeting for the year. Fee Payment - A reminder to all families that accounts must be finalised by December 1st.
