Event Spotlight: Penn Athletics Welcome & Class of 2026 PhotoShoemaker Green | 3:30pm-5pm Join Penn Athletics & Penn Traditions for the Athletics Welcome & Class of 2026 Photo! Meet current student athletes and the Quaker, get your official Class T-shirt, and participate in a favorite NSO tradition, your Class Photo! After the photo, stop by Shoemaker Green for some fun and refreshments. The women’s soccer game starts at 6 PM, make your way down to Penn Park to cheer on the Quakers with your classmates. Today's CalendarPenn Engagement Panel & PHINS Orientation Group ActivitiesIrvine Auditorium | 10am-3pm Civic engagement is a core value here, and in addition to living on campus, you are also citizen of the vibrant city of Philadelphia. Our Penn students regularly interact in creative and rewarding ways with the larger world. The Penn Engagement Presentation, moderated by Vice Provost for Education and Professor of Philosophy Karen Detlefsen, first-years meet some of these students, and learn more about the ways they’ve enhanced their education through engagement in the community. Penn Campus Recreation Open House Pottruck Center | 8pm-10pm Join Penn Recreation & Athletics for the Recreation Open House! Tour the five floors of fitness spaces with an interactive scavenger hunt, jump into some express group exercise classes, try the Rock Climbing Wall, visit the Sport Club Expo, and so much more! Talk with Campus Rec and Athletics staff about all the ways to stay healthy and active with your friends on campus. Enjoy a live DJ, refreshments, and raffle prizes! Late Night Activities FairCollege Green | 11pm-1am Grab a friend and enjoy games, food, and raffles while meeting student groups. PennTracks Tours RecapStudents joined the walking tours of the various locations within Philadelphia, led by out Peers Helping Integrate New Students (PHINS) student leaders. Download a PDF of the self-guided tours here. Dining Café Hours For Sunday August 28 Dining café hours throughout the week of NSO can be viewed through the Penn Dining website here. Dining swipes on your PennCard can be used at the Dining cafés. Dining café options for today include the following: Brunch | 10am-2pm: Hill, Kings Court English, Lauder, and 1920 Commons Dining Cafés. Kosher dining options are available at Hillel. Dinner | 5pm-8pm: Hill, Kings Court English, Lauder, and 1920 Commons Dining Cafés. McClelland is open for Quad residents. Kosher dining options are available at Hillel. TAP Phase Two is Live!TAP Phase Two is officially live! You will not be required to complete a quiz during this phase of TAP. However, this content must be reviewed prior to your mandatory in-person PHINS Orientation Group Meet-Ups and NSO programming where attendance will be taken. Failure to attend these small group activities could result in a registration hold being placed on your student record. Daily Rewind - Saturday 8/27Here’s a quick review of events from yesterday! Preceptorials presented students with opportunities to experience the academic world at Penn right before they start their own journey here. The PennTracks Tours led the students through various locations throughout Philadelphia, including Old City, Chinatown, and the Avenue of the Arts. There was a large turnout at the Evening at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, as students enjoyed music, dancing and a free admission to the galleries. The Late Night Activities Fair was an opportunity for students to meet their peers, learn about student organizations at Penn, play games, and enter raffles. Connect with NSOAI!
