This weekend campus will be bustling as we welcome alumni home to celebrate Western's 75th Homecoming.

September 30 (7 a.m.)
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 

Attend a sunrise ceremony at the Wampum Learning Lodge and stay for food and reflection. Teachings will also take place at the top of each hour with elder in residence Betsy Kechego and fire keeper Mike Hopkins.

October 1 to 3 (2:30 to 4 p.m.)
2024 Joanne Goodman Lecture Series
Join McGill professor emeritus Allan Greer as he presents on the early history of rum and its influence on North America. Great Hall, Somerville House Rm. 3326. Register online.

The Leadership Challenge: Tackling tradeoffs and tensions for a sustainable future
Watch as a panel of experts explore the challenges and opportunities leaders face while navigating the complexities of environment, social and governance framework during this event offered by The Ivey Academy. Register online.

At a Loss For Words: Conversation in the Age of Rage

Listen to award-winning journalist, author and alum Carol Off, BA’88, LLD’17, as she discusses her new book, At a Loss for Words: Conversation in the Age of Rage, with author Michelle Shephard. McKellar Room, University Community Centre. Register online.

Forest City Tree Festival
Learn about urban forests in London and how to get involved in tree planting and environmental stewardship. The three-day campus event, supported by the Western Sustainable Impact Fund and community partnerships, features panel discussions, guided hikes, a native plant and seed exchange and tree planting.
