Sunday Sessions at Tavern on the Tee—Sunday, September 15
Join us for Sunday Sessions at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course this Sunday, September 15, from 4 to 7 p.m., featuring the talented local band Fly-By Ride. This dynamic four-piece includes Jack Mitchell on vocals and rhythm guitar, Skylar Broughton on lead guitar, Ancel Coburn on bass, and Sasha Meyers on drums. The band’s unique sound blends rock, funk, blues, prog rock, jazz, and more, offering an eclectic mix of genres that keeps audiences hooked.
Fly-By Ride has been playing together since high school, and their debut album, Songs from the Middle of Nowhere, is now available on Spotify. Come out to enjoy their energetic live performance on the Tavern on the Tee patio while indulging in delicious food, refreshing drinks, and scenic views. This free event is open to the public, so bring your friends and family for an evening of fantastic music and fun!
Calling All Golf Historians: Help Uncover Middlebury’s Golfing Past
Our local golf enthusiast and history buff, Gregg Humphrey, has embarked on an exciting project to write a book detailing the rich history of golf in Middlebury. Gregg’s work will span several decades, tracing the game’s local roots long before the idea of the Ralph Myhre Golf Course ever existed.
As part of his research, Gregg is seeking fellow golf history enthusiasts from around the region who may be interested in contributing to this project. He’s especially on the lookout for old photos and memorabilia, particularly of the old Middlebury Country Club, as well as early images of the Ralph Myhre course before it expanded to 18 holes.

Glow Golf Is Back!
We’re excited to announce the return of Glow Golf at Ralph Myhre Golf Course! Mark your calendars for Friday, October 4, and get ready for a night of fun under the stars. Reminder from the Tavern
Please remember that only food and drinks purchased from the Tavern on the Tee or Ralph Myhre golf shop are allowed on the property. This complies with Vermont state liquor laws and will be strictly enforced.
Enforcement: If you’re found with outside food or drinks, our staff may confiscate them. Repeated violations can lead to dismissal from the property.
Most customers follow the rules, but it only takes one to spoil the experience for everyone. Thank you for helping us maintain the quality and service that define Ralph Myhre!
Notice to Early Morning Golfers
We appreciate your enthusiasm for early tee times! However, if you tee off before 7:00 a.m. from #1 or before 9:00 a.m. from #10, please allow our grounds crew to finish their tasks. They have the right of way for course maintenance.
Safety First: Giving our crew the space and time they need ensures their safety and helps maintain our course quality.
Pace of Play: Playing too quickly can disrupt maintenance. Please maintain a pace of 3 hours and 15 minutes to ensure smooth operations.

2024 Ralph Myhre Summer Match Play Championship Summary
This summer’s Ralph Myhre Golf Course Match Play Championship brought together a talented field of golfers, competing across three flights: Championship, Reilly, and Schoenfeld. Over the course of several rounds, players displayed remarkable skill and sportsmanship in a series of head-to-head matchups.
In the Championship Flight, Kris Wehner claimed the top spot after defeating Jack Breault in a hard-fought final. Wehner’s consistent play throughout the tournament earned him the title.
The Reilly Flight saw Daniel Zinn come out on top, securing the win against Ben Cadoret in the final round. Zinn’s journey through the flight was marked by steady, strategic play.
Finally, the Schoenfeld Flight culminated in a victory for Raymond Gale, who bested Tim Etchells in the final match. Gale’s tenacity throughout the tournament led him to a well-deserved win.
Overall, the 2024 Match Play Championship delivered a thrilling summer of golf, with competitive matches in every flight. Congratulations to all the winners and participants for making this event a success!
