Boil Water Alerts Linked to Increase in School Absences

Since the massive water crisis in Jackson, Miss. last year, a new study coauthored by Koen Tieskens has found that each time the city issues a boil water alert, unexcused absence rates increase by up to 10 percent, underscoring the need to address the root causes of poor water quality. Many Patients Don’t Discuss Sexual Dysfunction, Distress, or Pain with Doctors

A new study led by Julia Bond found that nearly 30 percent of women trying to conceive experienced sexual pain, but nearly 70 percent of these participants did not discuss this issue with their doctor. Learn more.
