![]() ![]() ![]() Expression of Interest - Emerging Surveyor AdvisorWe have a unique opportunity for a recently (within the past 5 years) registered surveyor to become our next emerging surveyor advisor (previously known as young surveyor advisor). The role will allow the successful incumbent to advocate on behalf of emerging surveyors, influence the strategic direction of BOSSI and be involved with decision making. Commitments include participating in 5 board meetings a year (mixture of Teams and face-to-face), attending the annual Kurri Kurri workshop and contributing to the training committee. Applications need to include a copy of your resume with a 1 page cover letter detailing the relevant skills and experience you bring to the Board and outline your vision for the future of the profession. Please submit your expression of interest to bossi@customerservice.nsw.gov.au by 5pm Friday 31 January 2025. ![]() Surveying & Spatial Information Regulation 2024The new Surveying & Spatial Information Regulation 2024 has now been published on the NSW Legislation website: https://legislation.nsw.gov.au/view/pdf/asmade/sl-2024-605 The date of commencement of the Regulation will be 1 March 2025. Any survey commencing after 1 March 2025 will be required to comply to the new Surveying & Spatial Information Regulation 2024. Discipline SummaryBOSSI has recently finalised the investigation and determined subsequent disciplinary outcomes following a complaint made against a Registered Land Surveyor (RLS). As a result of the investigation the Board determined the surveyor was guilty of professional incompetence with the following disciplinary action put in place:
