2023 Bachelor's Degree Graduates - Commencement Speaker needed! Are you getting your bachelor's degree in May and want to deliver the student address at the undergrad commencement ceremony? Submit your application by March 20, 2023 at noon! You will need to send in a typed copy of your proposed commencement speech (4 minutes max, submitted as a Word doc double-spaced), and if you are selected as a finalist, you will be invited to present in front of the faculty committee selecting the speaker. Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and complete all undergrad requirements by May 2023. If interested, email your proposed speech to Donna Mandery in CAS at dmandery@sju.edu. Deadline to Apply to Graduate for May 2023 is April 1st! If you are graduating in May 2023 you must submit an application to graduate even if you do not plan to attend the ceremony. The Registrar will use this information to print and mail your diploma to you. If you have questions about your graduation requirements and where you stand please feel free to contact me. Celebrating Women's History Month! Happy Women’s History Month! For the month of March, the DEI Task Force will be showcasing an influential woman in the field of pharmacy weekly. PCP Gala! Change of Date!! The date for the PCP Gala has been changed to Thursday April 6th (just prior to Easter break) at Galdo's in South Philadelphia. The evening, 6-10 PM, will include dinner, dancing, photo booth and three drink tickets. Price is $32 for PCP faculty, staff and students and $64 for non-PCP guests. The 1/2 price for PCP peeps is due to the generous donations of PCP alumni and friends. Watch for an announcement is STP for information on how to make the purchase. Posted by Dean Foote. 3/6

REQUIRED class meeting for U2 Pharmacy and PPEA Students! All U2 Pharmacy and Pre-Pharmacy students are required to attend a class meeting on Friday March 31st at 12:20 PM (SJU common hour). A google calendar evite has been sent out. If you did not get an e-vite, email Mr. Steven Dominguez at sdominguez@sju.edu. All students are expected to attend - reach out to Ms. Kiara Bulter (kbutler@sju.edu) if an excused absence is requested. An Agenda and the specific room will be updated in the calendar e-vite. PCP Student Council Presents Spirit Week!! What better way to go into spring break than by having a spirit week!? PCP Student Council is proud to host our very first Spirit Week. Starting the week of March 6, there is a theme to dress up to every day. For each day you participate, post a picture on your instagram story and tag @pcpstuco. Intern and Job Positions

Exciting paid pharmacy Intern position to support hypertension management program! Parkway Pharmacy (near Philadelphia Art Museum) is recruiting for a pharmacy intern to work on a program focusing on hypertension management in vulnerable populations. This position is a paid internship and can be mostly virtual for the rest of the semester. In the summer, the intern will be in the pharmacy and ramp up hours to meet the requirements of the program. Women’s Leadership Initiative: 9th Annual Women’s+ Professional Development Day conference on Hawk Hill (Saturday, March 25, 2023) . APPLICATION DEADELINE: 3/3/23: The Women’s Leadership Initiative will hold its 9th Annual Women’s+ Professional Development Day conference on Hawk Hill this year on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 9:15am-2:00pm. Students will spend the day learning about a variety of professional development skills including networking, mentoring, and dressing for success. This is a woman-focused event that intends an inclusive definition of women. We are welcoming and respectful of women, including trans women and those who are nonbinary, gender non-conforming, and anyone who identifies as a woman in a way that is significant to them.
