The latest update on progress along the 15.2km Huntly section of the Waikato Expressway is just out. We are excited about hosting our first public information day on the Huntly site. It’s this Saturday, 27 October, and will include project info and displays, and bus rides along the alignment to the top of the Taupiri Range.
Details are in the latest update, which this month has a strong focus on the cultural input into the Huntly project. This started well before any construction work and continues with a Cultural Symbolism Plan which will see some stunning artwork appear along the route.
Our centrespread of pics in this issue features the team’s ecology work over the last two years – which has included improving wetlands and habitat and working with native animals and fish.
