Click here Dear Colleagues, We have achieved some significant milestones in recent months here at Pozhet, including supporting Positive Life NSW to deliver the +Connect social event and translating our Pozhet factsheets into ten key community languages, in partnership with Multicultural HIV and Hep Service (MHAHS). We are also in the process of finalising our 'Should I Be Worried?' videos. The series aims to challenge some of the discriminatory HIV views held by some in the general community. We have adopted a similar approach to the TV series 'You Can't Ask That!' by posing HIV-related questions to current Pozhet clients. The collective energy and fun our clients bring to the interviews make for very engaging viewing while simultaneously addressing some common misconceptions regarding HIV. Like most, we are also delighted by the recent changes to compassionate access to ART (Antiretroviral Therapy) for those who are Medicare Ineligible. This is a significant step forward in ensuring equitable access for all, regardless of Medicare status in NSW. More information and training options can be found below. We are also very excited to report that we are embarking on 30 years of service. Over this time, we have seen significant gains in the health and wellbeing of people living with HIV. We will reflect and acknowledge this achievement at an upcoming celebration at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Virtual attendance is also available. This event will coincide with HIV Testing Week (1 – 7 June 2023) and will be an opportunity to launch Pozhet's factsheets (in language) and our newly developed videos.
