Transforming education towards SDG4: report of a global survey on country actions to transform education; highlights UNESCO This research report provides an in-depth scope of completed by 91 country governments that responded to a survey on the SDG 4 Dashboard of Country Commitments. The findings emphasise that education must adopt a holistic, lifelong, and comprehensive approach that addresses the development and well-being of individual learners and society. Transforming education requires
placing inclusion, equity, and gender equality at the core of policies and interventions. It also requires more and better education financing and investments in the teaching profession.
Gen-AI: Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Work Mauro Cazzaniga, Florence Jaumotte, Longji Li, Giovanni Melina, Augustus J. Panton, Carlo Pizzinelli, Emma Rockall, & Marina M. Tavares This report suggests that labor income inequality may increase if the complementarity between AI and high-income workers is strong, and capital returns will increase wealth inequality. However, if productivity gains are sufficiently large, income levels could surge for most workers. In this evolving landscape, advanced economies and more developed emerging market economies need to focus on upgrading
regulatory frameworks and supporting labor reallocation while safeguarding those adversely affected. Emerging market and developing economies should prioritize the development of digital infrastructure and digital skills.

Education and climate change Learning to act for people and planet UNESCO The report shows that education plays a role in developing professional capacities needed for the transition to a green, circular, and regenerative economy. But this report also argues that climate change education needs to adapt to fulfil its potential. The education paradigm cannot rely solely on knowledge transfer but needs to focus on social-emotional, action-oriented learning. Research on which approaches work best
needs to be scaled up to inform policy change.

We believe no child should be constrained by stereotypes or the expectations of others. We know that if young people hear firsthand about the world of work, they work harder, get better grades and are more likely to break down barriers. They should have the chance to start as early as possible, and that is why we launched the national I am #InspiringTheFuture campaign.
